Darren Pierson's photographic oddessy began at the age of four when an aunt gave him a Diana. A few years later an Uncle provided a Sears darkroom kit and a journey of nearly forty years began in earnest. Seldom seperated from his camera, Darren worked through junior and senior high school as a staff photographer on both newspapers and yearbooks. A Bachelor's degree in art through Southern Illinois University's Department of Cinema and Photography propelled Darren's skill in the darkroom and studio to new heights. With an educational background in Journalistic, Commercial and Fine Art photography, Darren's viewpoint and photographic style are at the same time reachable and unique.
For the last twenty years, Darren Pierson has worked with, around and for photographers and agencies ranging from newspapers to high volume portrait studios to event photography companies and most everything in between. This varied professional experience has both sharpened his eye for detail and enhanced his ability to work at speed with skill.
Darren's work has been published in magazines, newspapers and every form of digital media available. His images have been displayed in galleries, exhibitions and shows worldwide.
DPerceptions MotorSports Photography is based in the Southeastern United States near Road Atlanta and is available to cover any motorsport. They will work with individual clients, teams, vendors, editors and art directors to provide any necessary imagery. Freelance magazine work and assignment photography are also accepted as they are on the road constantly.
